Hurrican Ike heads for Ark-La-Tex

According to the latest forecasts Hurricane Ike will come through the Ark-La-Tex on Saturday. There is a good chance we will get tropical storm force winds and 2 to 4 inches of rain. If you have to be out and about on Saturday please be careful. There could well be street flooding and downed trees and power lines.

Heat Spell Breaks

It looks like the super hot weather is gone for awhile. There is some change of rain in the forecast for the next few days and temps should stay in the lower 90’s range.

Hot in Louisiana

Yesterday hit a station record of 105.7 F. Today makes the 8th day in a row of over 100 degrees.

Please be careful outside. Don’t overdo things and be sure to drink plenty of fluids.

Wow! It’s HOT!

I was kind of hoping we would not have any 100 degree days this year but it’s not to be. High today of 100 with over 100 degree temps forecast for all next week.  Be sure to drink plenty of fluids if you’re going to be outside. Best thing to do is stay inside in the AC if at all possible.
