Station
The SoHiWeather station is a Wireless Davis Vantage Pro2
with Fan-Aspirated Radiation Shield. It is mounted at the top of a 20 foot 1 1/6 inch iron pipe.
The station includes rain collector, temperature and humidity sensors, anemometer,
and solar panel. Plans are to add a Solar Radiation Sensor at a later date.
The station is connected to a home built PC that is 100% dedicated to the weather station and runs
24/7. The PC consists of AMD64 3700+ CPU, 250 Gig drive and 1 gig of memory.
Software
The primary software is Weather Display. Also running on the same machine is WeatherLink by Davis Instruments. Both programs run at the same time by using VirtualVP. The software updates the web site every 5 minutes.Station Status
